How I Work

We will work psychodynamically, which means we'll be interested in how earlier relationships and experiences continue to shape how you feel, relate, and make sense of yourself now.

This isn’t about quick solutions. It’s about creating a space where we can slow things down and pay attention to patterns as they emerge, including between us. Often, what feels difficult or confusing begins to make more sense when it can be thought about, rather than managed or pushed away.

I’m more interested in understanding how your difficulties have come to take the shape they do than in trying to change them too quickly, as this is what can make deeper and more lasting change possible.

Psychodynamic Psychotherapy

Long term/open ended, in person or remote

This kind of therapy addresses underlying issues and causes, often from your past, which may be concerning you, or affecting your relationships with others. In your sessions you will be encouraged to talk freely and to look deeper into your problems and worries. It differs from many other talking therapies in that it aims to help people make deep seated change in personality and emotional development, alongside relieving troubling symptoms. This is a long-term commitment, meeting once or twice weekly, sessions are 50 minutes and therapy can last for 2 years or longer.

Initial Assessment (90 minutes): £120

Ongoing Sessions (50 minutes): from £80
